<p>At Beyond’s recent Global Strategy Group meeting, SP made this point: the Person of Peace is often mis-defined as someone who is open to talking about Jesus (spiritually open).</p>

<p>That’s where a Person of Peace begins, but not where the definition ends (at least, our definition). A Person of Peace is:</p>

    <p>open to the message of Jesus</p>
  </li>
  <li>
    <p>receptive to the messenger (will invite him/her into their circle of friends/family) (“Can I come to your home” is an important filter. Are they welcoming the Gospel in, or are they just willing to tolerate me in the street?)</p>
  </li>
  <li>
    <p>influential in their social network, and bringing others to the message.</p>
  </li>
</ul>

<p>These three factors converging in a single individual can be a catalytic hub for the Gospel.</p>
