8 miles is roughly the distance from my house to my office.
Also: all of the unevangelized individuals who died in the past 24 hours – the people who never heard of Christ, who had no access to the Gospel – if put one behind the other, each having 1 square foot, would make a line this long.
And the number dying per day is increasing, because the population is increasing.
